About this opportunity

At betterbusiness, we are a team of pioneers who guide confident service and product decisions. We are providing the best performance-based customer acquisition and lead generation solutions on the market.

We are working with all of the biggest names in the DIY space (website builders, commerce platforms, hosting providers, and more). Additionally, we are one of the leading providers of leads for many impactful topics such as solar energy, heat pumps, and 24-hour care. We help thousands of people every day to make the right decision.

We are currently expanding our lead generation team, and are looking for a new German-speaking team member to help us take our partner acquisition to the next level.

This is an individual contributor role working closely with the Partner Success team and an opportunity to have a unique impact on the way we scale!

Ideally, you have direct experience with all parts of the Partner acquisition lifecycle, and can work independently and autonomously as a part of an international team in a fully remote environment. You are  a very result-driven, natural sales person who loves closing deals. ????

What you will be doing:

Own the partner acquisition lifecycle

Quickly identify and pursue high-potential business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Actively building lead pipelines: You’ll use different channels to generate leads that you can convert  into valuable partnerships.

  • Reaching out to leads via phone, email, LinkedIn etc. Mainly cold calling, but also inbounds.

  • Preparing contracts and other documents when you close deals on new partnerships.

  • Onboarding new partners: making sure partners are set for success throughout the testing phase.

  • Handing over partners to the Partner Management team: once the partners have been onboarded and the partnership is continuously successful, you will hand them over to the Partner Management team, who will manage the long-term success of our relationship.

Operational Responsibilities: Owning all of the processes that enable operational excellence of the Partner Acquisition lifecycle, with focus on automation and leveraging of modern technologies, such as AI.

Collaboration: Work closely with partner management and incubation teams to bring our  product categories to the next level of success.

Who you are

  • A hands-on sales person, who is excited to spot a good opportunity.

  • Capable of seeing the bigger picture, identifying opportunities that align with business goals, and adapting approaches as market dynamics change.

  • A strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a passion for data-driven decision-making.

  • A skilled communicator with strong interpersonal abilities, dedicated to fostering positive partner relationships.

  • You always speak the language of your counterpart, whether SMB or Enterprise/Corporate partner.

  • You have a strong sense of perseverance, staying motivated through challenges and rejection, and committed to achieving goals.

  • Proven track record in sales and negotiation, with a partner-oriented mindset.

  • Proficient in different CRM tools (we use Pipedrive).

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Fluent in German, with excellent communication skills.

This role is fully remote, however you must be based within European timezones. If you are based in Germany, the role offers full employment, otherwise, it’s a full-time contract role.

What we offer:

  • 100% distributed and flexible: make use of your distributed working budget to upgrade your home office, rent a coworking space, or travel. We want you to be able to create your perfect setup for your best work ever!

  • No 9 to 5: We focus on impact rather than effort. Therefore, we strive towards a culture based on responsibility, ownership, and efficiency. You can have it all done in 5 hours? Your win!

  • Your favorite hardware: You choose your favorite hardware and OS, and we provide all the equipment you need

  • Agile work environment: In order to work in the most productive way, we use state-of-the-art tools like Slack, Jira, or G Suite and modern project management methods like OKRs or Scrum
